So, i have started at my report. First things was about planning how the report should look like and what information i need to include. Today i wrote some basic stuff about cubes, Microsoft BI-solution, OLAP and the difference between a relational db and a multidimensional datawarehouse. The audience is system developers with some knowledge about regular db-management.
So far my headlines except for regular summary and result and so on are:
- Tools & Architecture
- Why not use Relational DB
These i have not implemented yet but i think i will need them:
- Time based analysis
- Preparations for building dashboards
- Preparations for different detailed views
- Important analysis
- Navigating hierarchies
- Safety and different profiles.
I have found that visual things need to be included and that i have to create those pictures myself.
