Learning MDX

So, now my project has started. After some new information i have disregarded my projectplan and made a new one. The first four weeks is about learning MDX and some economic terms in the business system i am working with. Since i have looked at MDX before it´s been a great repetition so far, but with some new things as well. Some things i have learned is that the Members-function does not include the calculated member and that you need to use the “AllMembers” instead. I have learned that the “nonempty”-function checks values if they are empty and disregard them in the query if they are. When using the function Crossjoin to multiply tuples inside a set they provide new data that doesn´t exist before in the cube. This can also lead to many null-values which can be handled with “EXISTS”-function which workes a bit like “nonempty”. When you create the calculated member it needs to be associated with the hierarchy that you are viewing.
